About Us

Bill has dedicated his life to the pursuit and education of professional photography and video production. Starting in 1991, he became a Director at Hallmark Institute of Photography where he honed his professional skills. During this time, he worked as a part-time professional photographer and officially opened Chenaille Photography in 1997. In 2001, Bill accepted the position of National Technical Committee Chairperson for the SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference. This event is one of the world’s most prestigious competitions involving all areas of career & technical education. He continues to run the photography competition to this day. In 2005, Bill became a Director of Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging Arts and was integral in opening the Washington, DC branch where he began honing his film production skills. In 2010, Bill moved closer to home and joined the Academy For Media Production where he became a partner and Director of Photography and Video Production. In addition to teaching full time, he enjoys taking on professional projects together with his wife Carolyn.

Carolyn has fond childhood memories of helping her grandmother develop photographs in her darkroom. It has been in her blood ever since. In 1990, she began her professional career as a photographer at Flashback Old Time Photos on the boardwalk in Ocean City. After many years of both shooting and managing the studios, she yearned for something greater. In 1998, she enrolled in Hallmark Institute of Photography where she and Bill met and were married in 1999. Carolyn oversees the daily operation of Chenaille Photography and specializes in high-end portraiture and wedding photography. In 2002, Carolyn joined National SkillsUSA Photography as a technical committee member where she continues to serve today. In addition to raising three children, she enjoys photographing the puppies she raises for The Seeing Eye and leading the local 4-H club.
